The first use case in the edutainment scenario will be focused on developing an intelligent tutoring robot (ITR) that can support teachers in their classes. The ITR will be based on the Robobo robot, an educational platform suitable for programming learning in really entertainment fashion.
Our ITR will cope with different human teacher’s purpose, adapting the teaching style, to train students in the fundamentals of Python programming while entertaining them. In addition, the ITR must adapt the activities and tasks to the progress of each particular student.
This is a really challenging use case in which the social robotics aspects are very relevant, as the interaction with the student must be as realistic and fluent as possible.
