ERF2024 – Workshop on Mobile Manipulation

PILLAR-Robots will drive an important workshop at the forthcoming edition of the European Robotics Forum (ERF2024), which will take place in Rimini, Italy, 13-15 March 2024.

The European Robotics Forum (ERF) is one of the most influential events for the robotics and artificial intelligence community in Europe. It is the meeting point for engineers, academics, entrepreneurs, investors, as well as end-users and policy makers in the field of robotics from all over Europe and beyond

The workshop, titled “Mobile Manipulators, new challenges and opportunities for the Robotics community” is organized by PAL Robotics together withTU Delft, and will take place on 15 March, 8:30 – 9:50 am CET. 

It will be an important platform to exploit synergies with like-minded peers and learn about the field’s new project opportunities. The IMOL (Intrinsically Motivated Open-Ended Learning) community, and all roboticists interested, are strongly encouraged to participate.

The workshop, in line with the ERF2024 guidelines, will not be a simple sequence of project presentations, but rather a platform to foster discussion and encourage links and research / business opportunities. 

It will see the participation of relevant personalities, such as, among those who already confirmed their attendance:

The first half of the workshop will be dedicated to the introduction of new and on-going EU funded initiatives clustered under Mobile Manipulation. The audience will get to know the latest advancements of projects such as PILLAR-Robots, Agimus, Manibot, euROBIN, Harmony, Aerial-Core.

The second half will see a panel discussion, as well as Q&A from the audience, on topics such as the new market trends in the field of Mobile Manipulation, research expectations vs market reality, as well as deep dives into today’s status of the European mobile manipulation market, current readiness level, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in each application area.
